Let’s just say you can’t be afraid of heights. What does a day in the life of the Open Canopy Team look like?
Living for the weather. As we use a variety of different (potentially dangerous) tools at high heights, the weather matters and dictates our day to day schedules. For instance, if there is a storm, we can expect to be busy with cleanup afterwards.
We are the industrial athletes of the trees. We take measures to ensure that every time we climb, it is done safely and the entire team is involved! That being said, some fun and interesting methods are used to climb and work, and we often have audiences watching us from a safe distance.
We don’t only cut trees. Although it is a large part of the job, we aren’t all impressive heights and sawdust. Our job is to prioritize the growth and general health of trees, which means pest control and removal, moving and soil maintenance is also thrown into the day to day.
Careful planning. Often large discussions and plans are made before working (especially on larger trees with intricate root systems, or properties at risk of being damaged).
We love what we do and have been doing it since 2015. Our expert team of arborists wakes up every morning knowing that all trees deserve the best care. Contact us for a free estimate today.
